Happy Valentine’s ToDay

Yes, today in casa Giannuzzi (at Giannuzzi’s) we celebrated Valentine’s day! Why? Because I decided so! *big smile*

The idea came to my mind when I was laying the table with beautiful pink tulips I bought few hours earlier at the supermarket  along with a bottle of white wine (both were on offer, yeaah!).

The wine was actually one of the ingredients for the “pasta with vongole” which  I wanted to make for dinner tonight. By the way, regarding this, i have a confession to make

*blushing*

having wine on our table is something that doesn’t happen quite often as we…we don’t really drink alcohol.. not often.. almost never..Sorryyyyyyyyy.. I know we are aliens!

Anyway I thought, why not celebrate Valentine’s day today? I remember one of the first time I went out with my husband we discussed about Valentine’s day and we both shared the opinion that it’s such a commercial celebration plus, who the hell decided that we have to celebrate the love for each other’s  every 14th of February?

So today 26th of January, in our home,  it’s Valentine’s Day, that is it!

My husband didn’t actually expect it. He was chilling on the sofa and while I was pouring him some wine (which is already suspicious – as I said before it never happens) I said “Happy Valentine’s day!”. A big smile came to his face, priceless…

And “pasta with vongole” was yummy!

Thirsty

“can you get me some coke please?”

“yeah, can you wait a minute?”

“yes”

…10 minutes later…

“I’m just telling you.. I’m about to get the coke myself so if you still want to get it for me do it now..as usual dont wait until I stand up and I am half of my way to the kitchen, and only THEN you come and run after me saying with a guilty-smile “I was about to go!”

I love my man.
