Leonardo’s first birthday – Part two, the cake smash

And the celebration continued!

After lunch it was cake smashing time so we let Leonardo wear only his shorts as we knew it was going to get messy! But as soon as we placed the cake in front of him we were suprised to see that he did not grab it! Instead he gentle started to taste the cream, first with his finger and then he leaned towards it with his whole face but in a curious way… It was almost like he could not believe mummy gave him a WHOLE cake for himself! It was so funny to watch!

“Mhhh, this is actually really good… let’s try another little bit….”

“I LOVE IT…!”

“Mummy, is it really all for me?!”

“GNAM GNAM better stuff my face before mummy realises I’m eating the whole lot”

“Wonder if this mean I can eat cake everyday now…”

“This is a bit hard but worth trying it..”

Obviously we didn’t let him eat the whole cake but I think he was well satisfied at the end.

We had to give him a bath almost immediately after the cake smashing snap as he was all sticky and smelly. Only when he had his pjs on we realised we didn’t give him a candle to blow so we placed one on the top of a cupcake and this was his reaction face…

“What’s that.. I want to touch it!”
